Eg White – Broken

Watch the video after you’ve checked out the link below.

Eg White was half of the duo who made the best record you’ve never heard “24 Years of Hunger”. Now he applies his talent to younger prettier people, helping lead older uglier people believe the aforementioned are smarter and more skilled than they really are.

His new solo album was lead with “Broken”, whose video which I can’t embed here, reminds us how webcams are as useful at the end of relationships as at their start.

Watch it here: Broken – Eg White, and the next time this happens come back to it and feel good feeling bad.

OP

Original Plumbing, a new magazine with a focus on female-to-male transsexuals, is having an event on Saturday, December 19th in San Francisco.

If you’re into the unique charms and opportunities presented by trans men this is a rare (unique?) opportunity to be in a room packed with FTM singles (which sounds like a processed cheese but isn’t).

Yes – the photo’s the kind of guy I’m talking about…

Open Angel Forum Logos

Jason Calacanis used Twitter to put out out a tender for a logo for his ‘Open Angel Forum’, a group he’s forming as an antidote to the predatory, pay-to-play, cons being run on aspiring entrepreneurs.

I’ve taken a very late shot at it.

The first idea is obvious, but a little clever (I hope). The icon would be easy to brand and has the advantage of containing some information even without the text – useful at small sizes.

The second idea plays on the idea that the forum will be a hotbed of deal making. ‘Angel’ is shown as a signature and the entire logo is reminiscent of a sign, something people will look up to and follow. The emphasis of “Open Forum” underscores the frank and direct approach Jason’s known for.

Amazingly, sometimes working for free is fun.

The Daily Telegraph invents ‘hiberdating’

November 7th, 2009 • by Samuel Agboola • Leave a comment

According to the Telegraph, ‘hiberdating’ is a new American buzzword used to describe starting a new relationship during fall and winter.

As the founder of a dating site based in Southern California I’ve never heard of hiberdating, and a quick Google search reveals 30 (there are no zeros or decimal points missing in that number) references.

J’ACUSE TELEGRAPH!

Not only are you re-printing a press-release fromYahoo! Personals, you don’t even have the testicular fortitude to check the veracity of your copy. As for the suggested reasons for the failure of wintertime relationships – a lack of daylight and the stress of the holidays – wouldn’t that mean divorce rates would be highest furthest from the equator? Shouldn’t you have checked that?

Pathetic.
