When it comes to meeting new people, certain principles are universally true. If you stand out and are sincere (even if that’s sincerely funny or self-absorbed) you’re going to make an impression and that’s most of what’s needed to start a relationship.

Standing out online is harder than it is in person. You can post an amazing photo, but many people will assume it’s not real. You can write a brilliant profile, but then have to rely on people taking the time to read it. So what other options do you have?

If you’re talented you can do what Brian did and, though the content might be considered a little… (what’s the word… pathetic?) the execution is stunning and smart and makes brilliant use of Craigslists formlessness.

I bet he’s got more offers than he knows what to do with.
