A word men should never use on dating sites
There are certain words which in context, whatever the intent, are universally interpreted in unambiguously negative ways.
Today I saw a profile in which the man had described himself as “tactile”. I’m sure he thinks that suggests he’s warm and friendly, but a straw poll of women in my immediate vicinity makes it clear it suggests to them he’s an octo-pervert who needs mace, restraint and therapy.
More seriously, if there’s an appropriate time for physical contact on a date you’ll know. There’s no point in pointing out it’s something you desire. You only suggest you’re likely to lunge inappropriately and make what should be organic opportunities to get close to someone awkward and tense.
